omg bedhead is amazing

So after a year of trying to use cheap substitutes, I bought some of bed head’s manipulator from ebay and received it today.

Seriously, people on madradhair had warned that getting cheaper product just won’t be as good as manipulator and they were so right. It gives texture and control to hair without matting it and weighing it down (like garnier fructi’s surf hair did to me). So amazing. If you want good hair, seriously buy this.

also i think I did a pretty good job with makeup today so hooray me.

toning hair

So I’m thinking about putting some toner in

my hair.

Right now I use Shimmer Lights shampoo which is like a very gentle daily toner for bleached hair, but I only wash my hair a couple times a week to protect my poor bleached hair so for a few days a week it is a little too yellow for my tastes.

I think I might use this:

But it’s always scary doing new things to my hair. I have come to terms with the bleached platinum blonde, but I’m afraid toning my hair will make it too white and I’ll have to come to terms with the new color.

So awn know. It’s still up in the air as of now.

swimsuits (already!)

Okay so the past week I have been thinking a lot about swimsuits. I know it’s not even spring yet, but whenever I walk into Target I see their ubercheap suits already out and dominating the entrance and think about what my annual swimsuit purchase will be.

I’ve been thinking I need a bitchingassawesome one piece. There is something totally classic and attractive and forgiving about a well cut one piece.

So I was looking at the internet and saw this and I like it a lot.

It’s so fucking cute and classic. But I seriously have no idea where one would get something like that.

And American Apparel has these pretty bitchin lame bodysuits.

I’m kind of a secret fan of the lame thing AA is trying to push, but these seriously weren’t doing anything for me until I saw a girl on newestwrinkle show a pic of one she tried on.

No offense to her, but it all pictures of her showing her favorite outfits, it is plain to see she is a big girl with more to love in the stomach area, but in this swimsuit she looks way hot. I seriously want this pretty bad and it is only $30. I wish I hadn’t left my credit card at home because I want to order it like now.

Only problem is, it has only lined and usually I depend on a small amount of padding in the boobage area in one pieces to prevent my small bosom from squishing into nothing from the tight fabric. And the lowlow cut seems like it requires cleavage to be appealing. But we shall see. I wanted to buy some eggplant leggings from American Apparel anyways. I wish AA was nearby and not an hour away so I could actually try these fuckers on and see if they are worthwhile.

why can I not dress myself

Forserious.

I like to look at clothes and look at people who dress well, but why can I not dress myself that wellll. I am mad jealous right now because of a girl who just posted on newestwrinkle had the cutest yet attainable style. I’m going to be a creep and post pictures of my favorite outfits of hers.

So effing cute! She makes me want to go buy a million things.

Toms

So I’m writing one more blog entry tonight. Whatevz.

I was reading Paste while waiting forever at the Health Center at W&M and I saw Toms Shoes listed as an item to buy. Apparently this dude was in Argentina and wore these shoes and was inspired by how comfortable they were and designed these shoes after the tradtional Argentine shoes. Also if you buy a pair of Toms he gives a pair to a child in need. I think that’s a cool idea.

Anyways I really like the shoes and $38 is not bad for a pair of way comfortable shoes and a good deed.

Also I think these limited edition Toms individually painted by a graffiti artists are waysupercool, albeit $10 more.

So that’s that. Toms seem like cool shoes. Someone buy them for me.

shoes

Okay so in the past few months I’ve already bought both a pair of brown and black boots so really I should lay off the boot binge, but then an Urban Outfitters catalogue came into my hands and I am tempted.

I seriously lovelovelovelovelove these boots. They cost way more than I would ever spend on shoes, but I like to look at them.

Frye Sunny Vintage Boot $225

They don’t look super amazing in the picture, but I really like how they look paired with shorts and skirts and other such spring clothes I couldn’t find a picture just now, but take my word for it. They look wonderful. Also I like these boots a lot

Ruched Knee High Boot $48

Also I’m kind of digging the mad hitop wrestling shoe thing that is going around. I’m not sure I could pull it off though. I feel it’s something you can only really do if you’re getting on the urban/ghetto thing that is going around and I’m not really at all.

Reebok Classic Hi Top $68

Nike Blazer Mid Shearline $98

Sorry for always referring to Urban Outfitters for things, but they always have things I like because I am a mad tool.

Free People

Okay so I don’t really dig Free People usually. I cannot really afford their clothes unless they are on mad sale at a boutique, and I’m totally not into the whole boho-hippie-chic thing. But then sometimes they pull things like this and I am like omgIwishIhadmoremoney

Embellished Bali Hoodie $128 w/ Rainforest Bloomers $68

Also, I usually hate the horrible chunky boots they try to make you buy to wear with awful boho skirts and whatnot, but I think I really like these canvas boots. I could see them being cute with jeans or shorts with tights.

Baggy Canvas Boot $78

But just when I am starting to think about getting into boho fashion, Free People pulls something like this.

Fuck you, crazy hippies. I will not look horrible and frumpy in the guise of being unique and holding secret artistic and vegetarian and possibly crazyfeminist values.

Mac cosmetics

Seriously, there is nothing in the world as good as Mac cosmetics.

According to the Mac website, the closest place to get it is in Charlottesville. But someone told me that Macy’s sells Mac, and there is indeed a Macy’s near me. So I think I might go today or tomorrow and check it out. But Mac stuff is expensive as fuck. And the salewomen are notorious for being really snooty.

But I really want this look:

(cute girl)

I think it would be a great dramatic look for my newly platinum hair. I asked her how she does her makeup and prayed she would not say she uses Mac, but she does.

So I guess I’ll have to brave the high prices and haugty sales people to look good.

Colored Jeans

Okay so I just made a post about brown jeans, whatevz. These jeans belong in a whole different post.

Who is way psyched about the American Apparel Slim Slacks?????

They are out in select colors in select stores, but I live 2.5 hours away from the closest American Apparel so this is not really an option for me. I have to wait for them to come out on the online store.

But Urban Outfitters has bean AA to the punch and come out with their own colored jeans in pretty much the same colors.

I am tempted, but I think I will wait for the AA pants.

BROWN PANTS

Okay I need pants.

I wear pretty much exclusively jeans (lamelameiknow) and I only really wear 3 pairs that I own right now and only really really like 1 of them. So I’m thinking brown jeans.

I like these ones from Urban Outfitters:

BDG Bright 5-Pocket Skinny Jean Taupe $49

And these jeans from Alloy:

Piper Brown Skinny Jean $42.50

I really should order them soon so I will have them when I get back to school, but i have no idea which jeans to buy! UO is far away from me and Alloy doesn’t have a real store so I can’t try either jeans on to tell.

Someone tell me what to do!
